An American DJ DMX Barrel scanner, the barrel mirror both spins and and turns, throughing patterns all over the room.  I use a pair of these scanners. 

I use two of these, linked together.  This is a 600 Watt Halogen fixture. It is a room filler (the picture does not come close to what the effect is really like), and reacts to music. This fixture strobes, stutters, rotates, and changes direction to the music. 

This is a gobo barrel scanner. It incorporates a variety of Gobos, or shapes, such as the arrow you see in the picture, as well as stars, and other various shapes. Very different motion than the other lights, and while it also works good without fog, it is stunning with fog.

The classic mirror ball effect, used primarily for slow songs. It is a classy look, which accounts for it's long time use in the market.

I use a 10 foot wide truss with 2 stands to hang my lights, well over everyone's head.
